Description

Weave is looking for an AI Engineer to help eliminate one of the biggest bottlenecks of drug development: regulatory development. Every phase of a drug’s lifecycle requires extensive documentation to be submitted to the FDA.

Traditional processes are opaque, manual, and spread across many systems. We’re bringing the whole process together, supported by LLMs, so teams can collaborate and accelerate their regulatory processes. From six months to six clicks.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on AI engineer that can navigate between data, AI, and backend systems. Stability, performance, and reliability of the AI system are the core responsibilities. You will be asked to develop novel solutions to customer problems, characterize the results, and deliver the solutions into production. You’ll be successful in this role if you can go from idea, to experiment, to testing, to production without getting lost or stuck at one of the steps. We care more about solving problems than using the latest buzz. We prefer simple, well-tested, stable solutions that are dependable, yet impressive.

Responsibilities

• writing production-ready software incorporating LLMs
• writing tooling for automating the testing of LLM-in-the-loop code
• rigorous testing, characterization, and validation of LLM functionality
• gathering data and proving efficacy
• developing test metrics for key functionality

Ideal Profile

• Has worked at an early-stage, product-based startup before (<50 people)
• Scientist by disposition (bonus if also by training). Has background knowledge in the biomedical space
• Extensive knowledge of LLMs in production
• Directly interacting with LLMs without abstraction libraries
